blood pools
and stars gaze
upon rivers turning red
a life otherwise dead
fulfilled with past regret
survival losing her fight
wasted with the night
last breaths blow
goodbyes into the wind

"Blood pools" is a horrible image when it comes to life. If we need to fight, then I hope it wouldn't be as intense as that.

I love the idea of "Survival" possibly being a battle commander (commandress?) losing her fight and falling under the hand of mortality.
