[ NaPo 2018 ] Dipped Skinny

         
Last one in is a rotten egg!      
       
She always comes stripped      
bare of false pretenses      
eagerly diving in head Firstly      
       
effortlessly swimming    
through nuances of vocabulary        
while navigating the murkiest      
sentences worded in the worstly      
ways fathom-able;      
       
excitedly on tippy toes    
in discovery, throes down      
what treasures she found!
at great depths---      
       
[h]erring on the side of caution      
so as not drown novitiates      
clinging to their life's [c]raft      
during Baptisms in these      
artisinal waters      
 
A weak kneed fool  
I drippingly drool      
wishing to towel dry  
her exit from the pool      
       
for in the write poet's hands      
she is quite the beauty beheld      
when dipped in her element
