Capturing The Sky
A swath of orange
a masterstroke
across the morning March sky
A splash of colour
to replace the static slumber
of a hard winter
What temptation lies on the horizon?
How will this inform a dull day
shuffling papers
in rehearsed routine?
I scramble to absorb
that fading hue,
stashing the embers
to hold deep inside
To spark within my stride
a spring in defeated steps
If I can radiate a fraction of it,
I will shine it towards your dark corners.
