In Over Your Head

All of the stories I've heard over the years of people drinking too much has made me never touch a bottle. Being sober isn't all that bad.

That may be a wise decision,
though I can't say the same for I still
enjoy a cold beer on a hot day, or maybe  
a nice glass of wine, in the evening, but it has
been years since I drank too much.

My dear friend, I respect your convictions
and truly agree, no good comes from over
indulgence and we both have seen the
destruction which can result.

The first four words were actually from a
Public Service Ad campaign I suggested
many years ago, but was rejected for they
felt it was to harsh, so, I chose to use them
here where minds and stomachs aren't so
squeamish.

and I'm not opposed to moderate imbibing, it's just
I have seen too many life changing tragedies  
resulting from a lack of good judgment.
