Knows a tiger
That he admires afar
Loves to play some days in spite her
Sharp teeth

His queen
His tiger love
Enjoys his company
And now and then will lick his face
To taste

In sun and rain
Will watch her pace the cage
He’ll walk to her respectfully
And call

Green eyes
Focus on him
Her feline tabby friend

Omg i love this! It's a great story with a formidable conclusion. Maybe the story Isnt over yet but for now, you've left us hanging.

Delightful! I know this is about a tiger but I can't help but think of my cat. Maybe I'm taking too many liberties. My cat has the most beautiful green eyes though:

I'm also a cat lover, so I enjoyed this poem all the more. Despite being royal, the tigress acknowledges and accepts the tabby's company as worthy of being around her.

sumptuous! what I love about this site, i am such a (northern) uk writer and yet we all fall under the same stars.

Thank you, Rob, and lovely to know you by name. I am very much into music from around the globe. I’m grateful for being told of Cerys Matthews, yes. I just finished listening to her, and I will soon listen to some of Catalonia. When first I heard Cerys sing a few minutes ago, the sound of the language was immediately soothing to my ear, and now sings through my blood...

God bless you for taking the time to learn a bit of Welsh. That has touched me a lot. We are a strange breed I admit that! But we stand together, cry together, and ultimately, fight together. A bit of Cerys she our queen lol
