Restless, rarely ever bored      
beings we are when barking forests    
and clamourjng caverns unexplored  
call out to us         
         
Maps only reveal so much---          
walk-this-way yellow bricked          
avenues dreamcatchered          
in interconnectedness         
representing The Journey    
with all of its endearing  
and enamouring earthbound  
tourist attraction    
       
while in contrast, Life itself  
is a one-way stream    
---its banks overflowing with    
potential of all that is  
you could be experiencing          
     
In overwhelming eagerness          
to do just that, I take the
plunge!  
into deep waters, often  
in over my head    
     
but with you always and forever
at my side, I'm in good company          
    
and even though we've only    
splashed into each other  
recently as our rivers ran  
through one another's  
   
whatever waterway is which  
the path before us now is ours;    
we created it together          
         
To swim against the current is        
futile          
         
To look forward with you in mind  
only feels natural
