The smoke clears
and Shanghai awaits
entrails pulse the virgin sky
and water hovers my eye
far away my breath breaks
with the sound of the rising sea
wake with me
in tidal pools of bliss
succumbing to sincerity

the writings drip red
bandaged the words surround
her bed
begging to penetrate
to be made whole
speak into the sunshine
as it sucks you in

as you suck me in
