TASTE THE MOON
I know what moonlight
tastes like.
It's the sweetness from her.
Cupping hands,collecting.
Enough to bathe,to clean the wounds.
Enough to drink,to heal the killer.
Enough to cover me in the shimmer.
I know what moonlight
tastes like.
She gives rivers of her nectar.
Enough to drown in.
And knowing me...
I'll drown~
tastes like.

There's an introspective beauty to this poem that causes me to nod in understanding. That ending grabs my breath.
