In The End

They say in life �have no regrets�
�Because in death we all forget

�Live like you�ll die tomorrow�
�Love like you�ve never been hurt�
So say the living
Believing ourselves the experts

Today is the last day of my life
And I�m not meant to know
I won�t jump from a plane
And get caught up in the after glow

I won�t sit and wonder �what if?�
When every moment we have left is a gift

All the things that I could do
All the things I could see
But I know how this day will end
How it�s going to be

The fear will follow
And it does
As I look around�
At the one�s I love

How can I tell them?
This day will be my last
That this day will end
In flashes of fire and shattered glass

I can�t say if it�s better or not to say
All I know is that I�m not here to stay

This is the last day of my life
And I wasn�t meant to see
The visions of a higher power
Of how it all will be

If this was the last day of your life
What would you choose?
For me there is no right answer
In the end we all lose.
