Rock Of Ages
Rocks don't move
They're planted in the bush
Bake in the sun
shower in the rain
freeze in the snow
Steadfast and electric
in rolling thunder
as static discusses
their location with
kenetic energy
Rock's don't move
They've allways been there
in the same place
Sure sometimes they roll
gain momentum
and smash the head
of an unsuspecting hiker
I'd bet a dollar the hiker
stepped on the rock first
but timing is everything
isn't it, just
Rock's don't move
They just wait
untill you walk in their
direction
sit on them
or lie against them
Or take your break
discussing the view
Because the Rock
never moves
Sits itself carefully
in the same place
waiting
and somtimes
hoping
