I surly would not want to be one today. I'll hold onto my memories of tree houses built with cardboard and blankets, hanging with friends... when we had no mobile phones are were expected home by dark.

As Mel said, this is a powerful write. I watch as my children grow up with more technology than I did; with computers and phonees now taking over how we operate. Are we becoming drones? It sure seems it, doing the same thing day in and day out, rarely changing our routines. So many people don't like to break away from wht they know...when in reality sometimes breaking away from monotony is what we need.
