Sincerity

He takes advantage of sincerity,
This leaves me craving sympathy and love.
I won't forgive such wrongs; let me be free
Of such behaviour - how can I rebuff,
When I have been exposed? I'm shown in lights
That were so hostile, they soon seared my soul;
I won't react to all the petty slights
That he imposes to achieve his goal.

The door-bell rings again: it makes me start;
I peer out through the drapes, my candle snuffed;
Seeing him soaked right through, my black eyes dart;
Invisibly I've called to him, and bluffed
Him for a minute; yet, he's bound to pass
My room and find me undressed: his recourse
Could be to push me back - his lust won't fast
A moment longer: it feeds intercourse.

I'd seek the door myself, but, held and bared,
His sword seeks my moist scabbard; once deployed
He thrusts into the passage and declares:
It is the tightest fit he has enjoyed;
That male blade presses in to take again -
He'll have his way - forget diplomacy;
Now, I must bite my tongue, for it is plain:
He'll take advantage of sincerity.
