Willow
This isn't a sheer fantasy
a green harp on a willow tree
I heard soft breeze fiddles its branch string
playing songs as a musician in spring
Then I know that's it
new season has arrived
Spring has started his showbiz
he tailored her a newly-made dress
Silenced, burgeoning is happening
February breeze as sharp as scissors
cut out those svelte branches
and delicate lovely leaves
By stream trickling
her dangling twigs down looking
as beautiful as Narcissus’ affection
she falls in love with her own reflection
Never know when it started
I have already had a crush on her
Since loving her shadow
I wish I were the mirror in the water
When the east monsoon brews
February breeze strews
I will sit quietly waiting for her visit
and I will fall in love with her coquette
a green harp on a willow tree
I heard soft breeze fiddles its branch string
playing songs as a musician in spring
Then I know that's it
new season has arrived
Spring has started his showbiz
he tailored her a newly-made dress
Silenced, burgeoning is happening
February breeze as sharp as scissors
cut out those svelte branches
and delicate lovely leaves
By stream trickling
her dangling twigs down looking
as beautiful as Narcissus’ affection
she falls in love with her own reflection
Never know when it started
I have already had a crush on her
Since loving her shadow
I wish I were the mirror in the water
When the east monsoon brews
February breeze strews
I will sit quietly waiting for her visit
and I will fall in love with her coquette

Hello Rose, such a gentle and beautiful poem :-) i cannot help but love the feel to this, it flows along so nicely and there is such a lovely tenderness in your words. i love how you have given spring a musical feel, the willow tree, and the breeze, .. the breeze is the musician and the tree is the instrument to be played upon. spring as a woman with a dress on , and the willow tree falling in love with its own reflection through the water ..
a seriously well written piece of writing , very much enjoyed , so much beauty in your words x

Weeping willow has long since been my favorite tree, and you describe it well. "Spring has started his showbiz", I utilize a lot of Hollywood/cinematic references in my writing, as well. Enjoyed this.

Willow ... I love the word, how it sounds, how it looks with bookending "w"s and the double "l" It is such a wonderfully languid tree ... I had one in my front yard when I was growing up and use to sit underneath it when I would write my poems. Thank you so much for taking me back there dear sweet poetess

My dear Dragonfly. we Chinese people love willows for some special reasons and the peots always extol them. They are one of the most poetic things for us. Your read reminds me of that I should write for them more...
Thank you so much for sharing your thought. I would love the languid tree in your front yard :)
