SENRYU: Quare patiatur?

I am notorious for living with pain, suffering, even cruelty even though there are apparent fixes and ways out. A caring friend taught me a valuable lesson. I had an old standard transmission (stick shift) car that would not go into reverse. If not on an incline I would have to push the car to a point where I could go straight. One day, preparing to push and on the phone with a friend when she simply and emphatically stated, "Bob, you need to go in reverse...get your car fixed." One can find deeper philosophical meaning in "you need to go in reverse," I guess.
