'He's There ....'

How many people?
The newspaper said
Visiting our festival
That we celebrate in stead
A special time to have
Bringing people together
And offering our beds
To eager out of towners.

The community comes together
When lives are hit with tragedy
Acting like brothers and sisters
Their wellness becomes our priority
I'm proud I'm from this city
His brother showed he cared, on TV
Because we showed we're a caring community
To eager out-of-towners.

The new wing is almost complete
As the walking tour proves emotive
A big event, indeed!
And for business, we're supportive
Proud to call this a place to live
We've earned a larger mall, this hour
Our stores may even prove attractive
To eager out-of-towners.

Days when I cared about nothing but flight
To a larger urban centre
But all I need is right here, they were right
Too eager, out-of-towner?
