CONVERSING WITH MOTHER AFRICA

I wish that I could converse with Mother Africa
I'd inquire of how did our people become slaves
Building generational wealth for human traffickers
What do you believe that she'd really have to say

I'd ask her about the great pyramids and how they got there
How they were erected without the use of modern day tools
One of the seven wonders of the world creating much fanfare
Whose interiors have been gutted and slutted by greedy fools

In school people viewed her as a continent full of peasants
Not kings and queens doing great things for all of humanity
Many culture vultures have taken credit for most of her presents
Causing her remnants to be filled with unrecoverable calamity

Before I reach my grave I'll one day meet this regal Queen
Absorbing her spirit and hear it reveal what I want to know
Getting high off of her vibes as if I was some sort of fiend
As my infatuation and admiration for her continually grow
