Fairs Fare - A fairy Story

Once upon a time
she was surely the fairest of them all
she was such a beautiful Princess
but sadness and loneliness abounded
sitting sobbing by the edge of the lake
that's where she first saw me and I her
I fell instantly head over warts in love
she just stared into my eyes strangely
she kissed this frog and he stayed a frog
I cried but she didn't she looked even deeper
she picked me up and hugged me tightly
she noticed that a French chef had had his way
and my legs were missing; she hugged me tighter
she clicked her fingers summoning the magician
she put me down and whispered to the magician
she pointed at me he looked and shook his head
she whispered to him again this time he nodded
and produced a small green bottle with a gold top
I thought it was a potion to turn me into a Prince
imagine my surprise when she started to drink it
there was a green and white flash bang then fog
The princess was no more, nowhere to be seen
I bowed my head and started to cry then out of
the fog a high pitched croak; the fog cleared
sitting in front of me was the most beautiful frog
I had ever seen: she smiled and hoped on over
she looked in my eyes and I knew she was the princess
my hear melted an my love and life were complete
but what about hers, she was now a frog: Sad.
the magician sprinkled glitter like confetti over us
both and she leaned in and passionately kissed me
there was a bright white flash bang and more fog
the fog cleared and there she stood my beautiful
princess back to her fairest self: she looked again
into my eyes but this time it was somehow different
she looked me up and down and a realised I was
taller. There was a flash; the magician handed me
a photograph She was the lady in the photograph
but also there was a handsome prince: My heart sank
Until I realsied it was me and she was mine
the wedding like our love arrived so quickly
we were married and lived happily ever after
