Little Blue Paper Crane
I left my lipstick stain
right on your window
just above the pane
and i painted you a forest
it even had a river
I knew you loved the trees
and the cold of winter
but darling I could never
stand that kind of pain
and on the day i left
you looked to the paper crane
sitting on the table
in front of your face
you picked it up
and set it outside that window
hoping the wind would blow it away
that the rain would clean that stain
nothing took away the shame
I felt when i drove away that day
I took all our memories
and threw it in the flames
goodbye darling
you deserve more than i
could have ever gave
you thought i was a liar
when i said i was too tired
of playing these games
and now the rain washes away
that pretty red stain
the wind blows away
that little blue crane
I made out of my love
now never again..
right on your window
just above the pane
and i painted you a forest
it even had a river
I knew you loved the trees
and the cold of winter
but darling I could never
stand that kind of pain
and on the day i left
you looked to the paper crane
sitting on the table
in front of your face
you picked it up
and set it outside that window
hoping the wind would blow it away
that the rain would clean that stain
nothing took away the shame
I felt when i drove away that day
I took all our memories
and threw it in the flames
goodbye darling
you deserve more than i
could have ever gave
you thought i was a liar
when i said i was too tired
of playing these games
and now the rain washes away
that pretty red stain
the wind blows away
that little blue crane
I made out of my love
now never again..
