my blue scarf
my blue scarf is choking me
it mimics the vast ocean
engulfing me, wrapping
its waters around my
mouth and nose
i cant seem to
breathe.
help
help me
help me please, wait
no, don’t, leave me here
to breathe in the indigo sea
the foam tastes like vanilla, and the
ocean like salt-water taffy, i must love it
i must love it if i spend so much of my time
here, breathing out the bubbles that
signal my presence, once again
in the deep blue, the color of my
birthstone. you love it here
you can’t get enough you
just cant get
enough
.
if
i stay
here long
enough I notice i
tend to become numb
the liquid filling my lungs no
longer cold, but feels like flowers
being planted there, blooming. beautiful
how beautiful i am down here now that I feel
absolutely nothing but the water and the flowers.
