Baptism's Metaphor

Water is the type
Spirit is the anti-type
Clean water upon you
The cleansing Word that’s true

It can wash sin away
Keep you from going astray
Jesus’ faith did keep him clean
His baptism shows you what I mean

If The Spirit guides you true
Cleansing water covers you
Take the metaphor to stage floor
Confess, display salvation’s door

For all those who do believe
Baptism’s metaphor will grant reprieve
To those burdened with a call
To represent their faith to all
