haves and have nots johnnies
haves and have nots johnnies
Well young poets here
It's only deprivation
which is a resultant
of poetic creation
invention
Johnny weeps for his dad
his mom may not have enough cash
so he cries
because
in his stomach he has butterflies
emptiness alone survives
in some cases
it's the wrath and vibes
no surprise you are equally wise
to hope to be happier
changing places with johnny who cries
I can't say
'twould be worth while
ask johnny and see the world from his eyes
with sadness intermixed with glee
let Johnny be
from your dad
try to make amends
don't try to flee
