Innocence Lost

A young girl is safe back at home after her ordeal
Still not having the capacity to eat, think or feel
It started not that long ago when she was out with friends
No one could have predicted how things would possibly end

A car rolled up and she glanced at a lad
She secretly thought 'hey he doesn't look too bad'
They started talking just as people do
And he said "hey I fancy you"

"There's a party I would like to invite you to"
The girl asked if her friends could come along too
As the night went on the alcohol flowed and music played
The girl looks around for her friends but they seem to be mislaid

Walking towards the girl the lad gives her a wink
He really does like me the girl begins to think
She has another drink but her head feels light
Her body starts to feel numb and blurred is her sight

All she can remember is been led to a room
And the lad saying "I'll come back soon"
Suddenly the door opens and in walks another man
He walks over to the girl "I can do what I want because I can"

The girl has lost all feeling to her body as he holds her down on the bed
She cannot even remember how she got in the room so gently weeps instead
Once the man has finished with her he gets back up
Walks to the door and gives her a dirty look

She is still on the bed and in walks the lad
He says "The bloke thinks you're not bad"
The girl sees the lad hand the bloke some cash
The handover was quick and the bloke went in a flash

For alone in the room the girl is until the morning
She can see through the curtains that the day is dawning
She gets led out of the house and taken into a car
The drive seems long but it's not really that far

The girl realises that she has been groomed for sex
And is frightened about what might happen next
The car stops and the lads try to talk to another lass
The girl realises she needs to get away and run so fast

She opens the door and runs for her life
Hoping they are not coming after her with a knife
She makes her way home and hope her parents are not mad
As more than anything now she needs her mum and dad
