Shipwrecked Family

We are not lost at sea
Our little shipwrecked family
Still it is sadly true
We were abandoned by the ship's crew
They left our broken vessel for the open sea
But what they thought was sunk was really
Lodged upon a mighty rock
While we were safely at dock
And so that faithful tiny troupe
Our own dear family group
Got all the loot that didn't sink
Found an island at Terror's Brink
Near a sparkling, peaceful bay
We had all we wanted that day
So now in our island home
Stretching as far as we can roam
We find all that we need
Year-round shelter and feed
All that we grateful creatures need
Even nature's bounty by the tons
Even daughters for our sons
Even a chance to go back
For those who may
If they think that they lack
They can go back again that way
And if anyone can
They can find us
