The Victim and the Culprit
I used to be the victim and the culprit, pointing fingers and bending them back.
I was biding time to see who would at last intervene in this cycle of screams, misdeeds and abuse. No change, no courage; only fear and the privilege of excuse. I became so shredded and angry and pathetic that I only had one choice left: to be strong.
I used to be the victim and the culprit. Now I am the judge. I sentenced the victim to wholeness; and the culprit, a workhouse, adding fuel to the desires of who I have become.
