Men Don't Scoot

I ask my wife if she wants to cuddle
It's cold in bed and we'll warm each other up
I move over to her side and start the engagement
When she announces she's on the edge of the bed
Then she asks if I can scoot over
I've told her many times that men don't scoot
We move when asked but scooting is a no go
My wife says okay, now move

I'm on the massage table with Vicki
She's been working on me for years
She wants me to move further down the table
Can you scoot down she asks
I tell her that men don't scoot,  they move when asked
She seems amused and wants to know more
It's just a word men don't use
It's a bit feminine I guess

It's one of those things
Yet just last night in the process of another warm up cuddle
Without being asked I inquire if she wants me to scoot over
I catch myself saying it and wonder if I'll be wearing pink socks next
She tells me no but also tells me no talking
I'm prone during cuddling to talk
A non-starter for her, cuddling is complicated around these parts
