Can I write you a poem
To describe how I feel
About you?
No,
Because that would involve me
Knowing that whole “love” deal
Is true.
Yeah,
Do you think
That this is for real?
I do.

This isn't a poem
About the way I feel
About us,
But
It is a poem
About how my mind deals
With lust.
Love.
It's so much stronger
Now, it has to be real,
I trust.

Don't you see,
That I don't want to feel
So dead.
Try.
Can't you just
Help me deal
Instead?
Why?
Well, that is because
This is love and it's real,
In my head.
