How to Deal With Noah's Flood

The Bible says that the Flood was worldwide and that all of humanity was destroyed, except for 8 people.
Most importantly, it blames God for the loss of life, claiming that He regretted creating mankind.
God destroyed most of mankind by the Flood due to "mankind's imagination being nothing but violence continually."

But now it turns out that scientists have discovered the Flood wasn't so global after all.
Seven thousand years ago the Black Sea doubled in size as runoff from the Mediterranean Sea dramatically increased.
What real evidence is there that these two floods are one and the same ??
Just that Iraq is where various accounts of the Great Flood originated.
And Iraq is adjacent to the east side of the Black Sea.
Survivors of the Black Sea Flood, if they settled in Iraq, that would explain just how and where those multiple accounts of the Flood came from.

When I tried to share this theory of the Biblical account of the Flood of Noah's time with my friends at Church, they weren't interested, for it casts doubt upon the veracity of the Bible.
But I have a reply ready for them:
The Bible's "loss" is God's GAIN !!!
Isn't it better to have the Bible proved wrong about the scale of God's judgment of mankind -- for the sake of God's reputation !!!
I mean if the Flood was just local, this means God did NOT wipe out all of mankind (except for 8 souls) just because "men's imagination was only violence continually" like the Genesis account says.
I mean, resorting to the Black Sea Flood spares God the SHAME of GENOCIDE against His own creation - which includes the animal kingdom as well.
It takes the Lord off the hook so to speak, rescuing the Almighty from the
ignominy of being a MONSTER of a Maker,
a Creator who parallels the woman who gets rid of her own flesh and blood.
by having an abortion.
I don't know about you, but I prefer a God who is NOT like a mother who aborts her offspring.
Anybody who can't see that God's reputation is more important than the status of the Bible as inerrant Word of God is guilty of idolatry.
Bible worship is a form of idolatry, "Bibliolatry."
What did Paul the apostle say ?
"Do all to the glory of God" (1 Corinthians 10.31).
Notice he didn't say, do all to the glory of the Bible.
God is more important than the Bible.
Finally, as Paul says, "when I was a child I thought as a child,
but when I became a man, I put away childish things"(1 Corinthians 13.11).
Isn't it time to put away the worldwide flood that makes God out to be an overbearing devil-like super DESTROYER ??!!

PS: Does it make sense to kill a fly with a sledge hammer instead of a fly swatter?
Likewise, does it make sense for God to punish sin by destroying Mankind (except for 8 souls) and all the animals (except for "2 of each kind") ??!!
