A Life Without

Imagine a life without sight
The blind can lead the blind
The blind can see more than the sighted
Their appreciation of what's around them
Is far greater than ours could ever be
without love there is nothing worth seeing

Imagine a life without hearing
Where the only sounds are felt
When musical vibration can be experienced
Sounds are on a different plane
Talking  through hands lips and eyes imparts so much more
Without love there is no need to listen

Imagine a life without speech
You're never accused of talking too much
Communication much deeper
Expressions and the eyes have it
They both say more when you look
Without love is anything worth saying

Imagine a life without touch
The life of a leper and untouchable
Eventually human touch becomes like
Oxygen and water - necessary for life
Deep sadness grows from a lack of touching
Without love you have to ring the unclean bell

Imagine a life without the ability to write
Your muse strangled out of life
But there is still a poetic voice available
To those who can hear it, firstly in their
Head  and then shared with others through the Mic
Without love there are no love songs to sing

A life without hands
Arms can still hug
If you have no arms
Somebody can still
Hug you if you let them

Imagine a life without legs
In my mind I can still walk
In my dreams I can still dance
I could still kick your ass
I  would still want to run to you
Without love I am truly a cripple

Imagine a Life without love
Is not really a life or living
It's a slow death march to the end
Marching as someone already dead
Dead by their own hands, blind,
Deaf and mute, no need for hands
Or legs because you are going nowhere
Nothing touches you and you touch nothing
Better to search for love without sucsess
Than to give up and not search at all
Choose life
Choose Love
Always
