In All Honesty

In All Honesty,
I stink at poetry.
It's not exactly a strong suite.
My words may not come out exactly right,
prose not always on target.
But I say what's on my mind, and sometimes,
it's quite a lot.
So bear with me, I am on this site,
to have fun and read better poetry than mine.
Also, to mourn my lost soulmate, to write the pain on the page,
Knowing there's healing in words.
My beloved recommended this site to me,
I never knew I'd find a safe place to pour out my grief.
I'd rather put it here, than share with people I know,
The push to publish my short stories I wrote
got to be too much,
By too many well meaning souls.
Here I can ramble, write whatever I want,
so that's why I'm here, I suppose.
