The First Day Of The Rest Of A Life

Back at the grind
early this year
taking it by the horns
preparing to ride
the twelve months hard
and dry
untill I reach next
December

Decided to start with serious
cleaning and
decluttering of my work
environment
Burned half the previous
uninteresting papers
like a forest
with a point to proove
Threw truck loads
of yesteryear on the dump

Felt a freedom in my blood

Thought about how
a desk
you can see
and a  window
you can look out of
makes the bloodpump
turbo boost it's tar
through the veins

Remembered previous
clutter deletions

Didn't remember feeling this liberation

Thought about it

Yes that's it!
I'm not an aimless warrior
searching for a
resolution
in the first month of riding
it hard
like a Jackhammer

I am a resolution
in the flesh

The resolution though
is wordless
discrete
and happily

clutter free

Content
without a gutter
