Escape

Sometimes I wish I could escape.
From toxic people.
Be gone and eliminate,
The hate and negativity they bring,
Like snakes, creeping low and penetrating
Poison in your soul, letting the pain sting.
Sometimes I wish I could escape.
From the lies and false ties,
That people make.
Pretending and being fake.
There's barely any real left.
What'd you expect,
When people are incapable to confess.
Mistakes made, but lessons learned.
They say patience is key to growth.
Yet time passes by and many grow older living their lies.
The innocence in life has perished.
The love has become fraud.
The truth has been concealed.
People sacrifice their lives to shed light and help reveal.
Sometimes I wish I could escape.
Live a life of silence, being great.
A oblivious, blissful life.
With a third eye, enlightenment.
Realizing we were born just to die.
There's so much to give and so much to see,
Yet we never know what is our deed.
We seek for ourselves.
But we never get there.
Because we've been covered with fear,
That blinds our capability.
Sometimes I wish I could escape.
Breathe in the air and accept life for what it is,
Being content, comfortable with the clarity.
