sisters of ache

finesse my fear
i feel exposed
wrap me in the sinew
of your poetic flex
my bones are brittle
& crush under the weight of shame
cradle me in the stars
that shine from your soul
born of celestial expulsion
you chant lightly
a quasar appears.
stretches & yawns
swallowing my pain
within your gloaming
i am sheltered
you witnessed me tremble
& it sent a shiver
through the vines of sorrow
that connect us
in the gods own vineyard
where we ripened under a pain filled sun
sisters wrought from ache
& flavored with agony
until you challenged the deity
who recklessly played with our emotions
under a subversive moon
you leaped canyons of hurt
& grabbed his power
the chasm of guilt
couldn't break your ferocity
no, it made you stronger
