Just you and me at the carnival (my baby)

The carnival rules the esplanade
People, beat-bopping, non-stopping
Colours reveal the souls glee
Just you and me
And a harmonious beat
Does your G-string make you feel sexy?
My booty walking baby
You’re like the black women with the killer curves
I don’t know what got to me first…
Your body or my wanderlust,

So say Hey ho, hey ho, hey ho…
At the carnival, at the carnival, at the carnival
The streets devil magician will appear
And will say…
“Step forth, step right forth,
There is nothing to fear,
This is no illusion,
I’ll make you all disappear”

Hey, hey, hey
The juggler balls will block out the sun
Test of strength, bopping for apples, and waltzes
The magician is very clever in leather,
He pulls a multi-coloured ribbon from his sleeve
What goes on forever…
And ever
And ever
And ever
Yeah. Yeah, yeah

Hey ho, hey ho, hey ho,
Merry go rounds at the carnival,
Throw me a buck
So I can try my luck
Don’t be any old swine
Spark a cigarette
And sip your wine
I’m proud of my baby,
And what of it?

Danger, danger, danger,
the elephant doesn't like no strangers
keep your eye on the prize
and hold me tonight,
through all the colours
and all the glee
its just you and me
and the carnival baby
