The gentle confides
As I cast and sunder
The boundaries of my wonder
A strange and subtle smile is seen
Quietly pausing throughout these moments
Occupied and amused with silly thoughts and games
This piece of peace echo’s through
Dispersing
Slurring now
Its almost gone
I continue to wonder where it’s going to
Maybe I shall just delve into this drink
I seem to have nothing to lose
Another disappointment
Lost and trapped
Amongst the gentle confides
Of the tasty escapist booze
