Dreams

Everyone dreams, that is no crime,
But I feel I need shelter from mine.
And I wonder: do people dream as I?
Sometimes I breathe underwater
Other times I am drowning
In veins disjointed from fire leaves.

One night I was both killer and pursuer,
I am wondering where I hide and seek—
Which piece locked me away?
But there's always mischief to unleash
Before they lock the door
And take the knife from half of myself.

Please tell me I'm not the only one
Who has died in this magical place,
You say it will be a peaceful way,
But I am surrounded by echoes
Of the noose in my hands.

Its enigmatic, if I only could know
I see him walking, but where does he go?

How do I hold myself during the day
And claim I'll escape the same way?
I can fly, but only to the ceiling,
And its so dark outside my window...

Its enigmatic, if I only could know.
I see him walking, but where does he go?

They say there is no pain
That cannot wake you...
But the blood of the thorns—
If I could make each drop silent,
Perhaps I would soar.
