Stranger Times

Can you hear me speaking words that barely break the skin?
Am I talking to myself when will this end?
I am facing life not knowing what’s in store.
Can you see me as I walk right out the door?
As we are, we will fall,
Stranded in our stagnation as the world moves on.
Have you seen stranger times?
We are now in transition desperate to… survive.

Take me for granted it’s all I know everywhere that I look.
You think you know me it’s clear you don’t, this is my frustration.
So here I am all alone with my thoughts just contemplating…
And I always thought something would come of this,
But i’m still waiting.

One more excuse as to why you don’t know what to say.
Your silence makes me feel like this was a mistake.
Your words promises that never came to be.
Just like, the desire that you have for me.

As we are, we will fall,
Stranded in our stagnation as the world moves… on.

Chorus

You’re affliction’s slowly killing me.
Drowning me in negativity.
I convince myself we will be fine.
Either way we’re running out of…time.

Chorus
