Exploding Anger

Darling, forget all about soft words and actions
Because you are not here to please everyone
Else. Light up the sky like firework attractions.
You are not the one to always chase the sun
As you are like the storm, waiting just beyond
The clouds on the horizon. Nobody can stop
You or the heavy rain. The anger is in a pond
Beneath and inside of your soul with the top
Down. Do not worry about where you are
Going as long as you are going somewhere.
You are a meteor and not only a shooting star.
You are thunder and do not be afraid to scare
Yourself sometimes because you are not made
Of stained glass. You are meant to be shattered,
Broken and rebuilt. You are not meant to fade.
Your hands, bloodied, bruised and battered
From so much use after punching that wall
A thousand times. You cannot be brought
Down as you are always standing tall,
Something you were well-taught.
