undulating faces sneer  
& mirrors look back  
 
deep into my soul it reaches  
 
as i smear makeup on my visage  
it cackles  
& is smashed  
 
into shards  
each reflecting a demon  
of my past  
 
Reaching through my reflection  
stabbing of a nature  
nurturing the voices  
that cackle at 3AM  
 
kaleidoscopes couldn't cast cobwebs like this  
 
i count the broken beige tiles  
as bugs crawl out of my shoes  
drywall dampening  
why is this still happening  
 
my screams  
are monochrome  
they echo  
off yellowed daisy wallpaper  
 
a vain attempt  
to ward off the lunatic  
that slides  
from my crooked
vodka soaked smile  
 
as my lies take flight  
& hover  
 
around a single bulb  
dangling from a noose  
that illuminates my truth
