Fairy Tales
To all the women who stopped believing in Fairy Tales....the ones who continue to battle the damaged little girl inside. This one is for you.
Fairy Tales .......
Her daddy sat in his favorite reading chair. Carefully, painstakingly sifting through stories of dragons, witches, wizards, mermaids, magic and mayhem. Tonight he will find the right one...the perfect one...tonight he will make her believe.
Closing the book he calls out to her…” Come here kitten, daddy wants to read you a fairy tale.” She walked over to him... eyes clouded over ... fighting back tears … she whispers. “ There is no such thing as a fairy tale daddy” ….” there is no such thing as a happily ever after.”
His heart sinks, just as it does every time he sees the reflection of pain in her eyes. Lifting her chin, he dives in, swimming in her pain, riding the crest of broken dreams
… demons … storms ...and darkness. One lonely little girl … frightened.
Sitting in the corner, eyes closed shut...hands over her ears...trembling.
Without warning she is sucked into the eye of the storm. She fights a good fight...crying out … looking for an ally. Where are the heroes...the knights in shining armor...the castles in the sky...the things that fairy tales were made of.
The storms get stronger … the winds carry her further away.
Finally she crashes, her hopes and dreams shattered. Alone...lost...the only thing left is despair. He holds her close ...rocking her in his arms. He vows...‘tonight kitten, I’m going to prove that fairy tales exist’ … ‘tonight you will learn about happily after. Tonight I am going to show you something beautiful … tonight I will show something you will never forget.”
Safe … comforted in his arms … she starts to drift off . The last thing she remembered, was ….

Daddy,
You promised to chase away my monsters under the bed, which inspired this piece. And for a long time you did. I miss my demon champion, my dark Warrior.
It was our bdsm love affair that taught you that the gentle and fiercely protective love of a Daddy, allowed the sadist within to partake of his submissive feast, protecting his most precious possession, while loosing the beast within. And your painful pleasure burned away so many years of neglect and abuse, rendering me shiny and new in the purge of your fires.
You showed me that fairy tales can actually come true, even if only for a while, as you showered me with love and luscious lust. That it wasn't only pain that could heal the hurts. And that there truly is love in our "Different Loving". I'm sorry we didn't get to our happily ever after.
I miss you so and hope to hear that Brooklyn boy accent again one day when it's my turn. Until I I read and reread your words cataloging our union, losing myself in the mists of memories, collar in my hands, pain in my heart.
