Gold Digger

Life is gold,
So I'll keep digging.
Trust me,
I'm a whore for a bucket list.
Fists are swinging,
Fighting for that last breath,
Waiting for the end,
But I'm still sinning,
God's not on my side anymore,
I dumped him so long ago,
I'm such a hoe,
To guilty pleasures,
I like so many hands,
Ruffling my feathers,
Shuffling my life,
Into smaller fragments,
Waiting around the ghettos,
Just to see what happens,
I like this life,
As long as I'm in danger,
I'm just another soul,
Forced into a chamber,
I'm not sure where to go,
With all this pent up anger.
I want a companion to love,
But my soul is ugly,
I don't have enough money,
To bail myself out,
So I'll stay here grounded,
In a life I was meant to leave.
Trying to find things,
I can't see.
It's a lonely hatred.
This mood is sickening.
But life is gold,
So I'll keep digging.
