A Spiders' Life
Sucluded in the shadows
Crafting webs of justification.
Mind curling into itself,
Like a spiders' legs when it
Accepts the grim reapers' sithe.
Lacking the ability to socialize.
It seems mundane,
But its sucking my
Insides dry.
Not much inside
this black and white existance,
But brilliant sparks of color
That I cannot imagine
Living without.
Then there comes this
Irksom spider,
Ready to sip your color
From my painfully
black and white world.
Retreating back to my personal web,
And hiding in the cornor
Pretending you don't matter.
Its safer for you.
Trust me.

Jade
This is both bone chilling and heart breaking.
I can feel the pain in every syllable
The daddy in me wants to reach out, give you a big hug and kiss away the pain.
Being a physician, I am somewhat familiar with schizotypal personality disorder,
as well as the lonliness that accompanies it.
If ever you need someone to talk to, please dont hesitate to message me.
I commend your bravery

The spider could be a malignancy or self-destructive personality draining the sufferer dry. At best the spider can be minimized and sent to the mind's corner. I don't know anyone with DID but I suspect you've nailed the condition in these lines. All depends on the personalities involved of course.

I always go back to thinking about the animated "Charlotte's web" movie with spiders.
i'm digging the sparking of black and white the third stanza casts
"sipping color" - yes~!
"black and white world. "- TV static blaring in the background
relationships can be draining, social anxiety i could live in now days.
work, then home...people are almost not worth dealing with some days.
great poem Jadedembers

Wonderfully crafted write Jade, I can feel the crawlies creeping from your pen! You do paint the picture.
Thank you for this moody indulgence- you really described something here in a poetic form of advocacy it seems, which helps combat stigma by raising awareness of certain conditions. An acclaimed critique! =)
