Vague Waves
I see my vague reflection within them,
estranged shimmering textures. Sometimes
words on monitors distract from mayhem,
branded with blank; the common paradigm.
Streets render, tar trenches of attrition.
to collapse and fade when I turn away.
Constant construction and demolition.
When night comes, earth forgets, regrets of days.
I’m alone under a dim fluorescence.
Sometimes, I think it flashes leaden blue.
Only primary colors, In essence.
I hear only whispers, “Nothing will do.”
The world is overflowing in vague waves
and there’s not enough earth for all the graves.
