Combustible

Compounded sorrow
envelops him in a cloud.

It refuses to rain.

A long drought
follows.

Out of tears,
dehydrated.

The stoic tree of stability.

But if lightning were to strike...

An unpredictable flash,
an unsolicited thrill.

He would ignite.
