A lot’s happened in two days time

I'd need to walk 5 city blocks
to get to the next neighbor
which is a 10 year old boy
he had short haired guinea pigs
a white and brown one named beautiful
a black one named handsome

storm water
poured down through the
discolored white light fixture
gushing through the ceiling
trickling down
the fan spinning on high
slinging all over the room
on the red dripping walls

dark with
blue fish spitting brown tobacco
dipping from a tin in his back pocket
bluejeans worn with the circle
back left pocket
framed like Roger rabbit
but in plastic
white trim
with sweet dreams pinned to the wall

Mexican coca-cola
imported
with pure cane sugar
in glass bottles
hourglass like a woman
flipping caps

we had the remote in hand
buttons lit up neon in the night
garage smelling like death
piled up under the house
old drum sets piss covered
rotting on the rim
cracked zildjian cymbals
with black snakes seeking asylum
from Abominable snowmen waiting to be born

while they saved black crock pots
when tripping over shaky steps
old ladies almost broke ankles

dive bombing hills for breakfast
just out of the shower
with wet hair
cold ear tips
black Bern helmet
worn foam liner from
hardcourt bicycle polo
practice makes perfect
just waiting to eat pavement
if i lost control
restless road rash
and a dash with death to see who's faster
i swear that son of a bitch cheats
i bet that cloak
& not having skin
gives them the edge

brown chocolate milk
from Jersey cows
turning T.V.'s off to stargaze
no long telescopes
just glowing buttons to
pause shooting yellow stars
& egg running down
kitchen cabinets
you thought you were standing
over the pink blue speckled bowl

cave crickets leaping over lay lines
on black stained carpet
and opaque fabric cutting boards
cracking at the edges

silver ice cream scoops make perfect for
for cupcake batter
i can still taste it on my uvula

mauve
teal
and pink glass bottles
shaped like the Eiffle tower
filled with air from the faint at heart
under opal diamond daisy's with metal stems
dance
porcelain faces
point their noses up in the air and laugh

cutting smoking hearts in half
with stainless steel farberware knives
just to put icing in between
stack them up
before you eat them

in the early mornings night
passing frost covered fields
in shadows
moon shadows
black fence lines
green pastures
used for grazing horses
with a service gravel road
plowing strait up the middle
lined with green apple trees
just waiting for an orchard to pop up any second
and greet the tillerman with a red beard
just coming back from tea
