Just a Thought
the left is in their living rooms
watching the idiot box
laughing and joking
until their not
they said it would never happen
but here we are
59 people dead
shot with semiautomatics
the right claiming that guns aren’t a problem
but let's forget about that
because this just in
Trump sent out a tweet
one that could start a nuclear war
it’ll be our sons and daughters
who’ll die first
but what the fuck would I know, right?

the right is in their living rooms
smiling and laughing
saying you go Trump!
not realizing
these problems affect us all
because soon we’ll lose our medical
to give tax cuts to the upper class
all while they lie to us
saying it will trickle-down
fuck yeah it’ll trickle-down
right down to their greedy pockets
telling us a shit is a bar of gold
spin it how you want
a turd is a turd
but what the fuck would I know, right?

our hearts are broken
but we’re told to stop crying
like sheep
we should just be happy to comply
but when my brothers and sisters
can’t even feed their children
or even walk the street without fear of cops
how can I stand for the flag?

singing like a hippy
saying can’t we all just get along?
because everyone is at each other’s throats
if you’re gay you have to act like this
if you’re colored you have to be that
if you’re a woman you have to hate men
and vice versa
it’s like we all have to be in one big gang
because soon
we’ll all be at war

yet everything is built

we just get better clothes and fancy cars
America is one big joke
while the rest of the world laughs
sitting back laughing
saying glad it isn’t us
