You're a ruby
encrusted
so truely a must
to have
your emerald eyes
inset and connect
to a like mind
of unknown dialect
soft gold
hides behind
a titanium
disguise
take a look
past the outside
I wrote the book
that cast our lives
although it took
a lifetime
I shivered, you shook
we broke the ice.


Modern nightime
horizons  
alternate in current
and past lifetimes
you're the summit
of my lifeline
all empty is full up
from beneath the under
engines that stumbled
rev out past a red line.


Is life a dream
and when we sleep
actually real
monitors bleep
they keep
the world surreal
the profundity
of the love in me
for you
is both awake
and asleep .
