Love is us seaching our soul

 Falling in love is an encounter with our unconscious. In the soul's desperate try to find wholeness, we fall for our own unconscious archetypal images, as we project them onto the other person. Knowingly or not, we long for a union of our inner opposites and this mirroring effect produces feelings of Eros and attraction, with sexuality to be symbolizing our rather imperative need to penetrate into oneself, through the process of individuation.
 Those archetypes are structured and reside hidden, deep in our unconscious mind, obtaining their own personality that interferes in the control of our behavior. Anima (in Latin, "the soul"), the feminine component in men and animus("the mind"), the masculine side in a woman's existence  are complex images of suppressed qualities, with both positive and negative counterparts, though they are armed with the capability of repetitively affect our thoughts, actions, interactions, therefor our state of being, life and its course.
 We project those qualities onto another person for the values about ourselves and the rejected traits to be noticed and brought to awareness, consciously merging all aspects of the self, into the totality of the psyche, to the extend that their integration shapes a better functioning unit.
An inflation of those archetypes may lead to catastrophic coherences and impacts on our relationships and contacts, just because it is needed to become conscious. The projection occurs for us to see those parts of ourselves we could never conceive as truly ours, and realize the meaning of the patterns that tend to be recurring, learn from them and feel complete.
So what we feel as love is us searching to meet our souls.
And love is letting the other know its already contained wholeness of his/her soul.
Innately, attraction operates as a magnet, bringing all information forward.
The most important... is that you can never loose love; because after all it was love for yourself.
