as death moves closer I welcome the closure
another day drifts by
not that I wanna get high
I got this trauma
I try to get by
it feels like an excuse to use
seduced then I abused
Lost the truth
Lost my youth
Left a fool
Thinking life is cruel
As I run out of fuel
I remember
This pain won’t last forever
I must finish this chapter
Look back with laughter
Matter of fact
I forget to factor
Nothing lasts forever
Before death comes I must surrender
I don’t know why I’m here
I don’t know why I fear
But as death moves closer
I welcome the closure

Drugs can never truly break you, they don't hold that kind of power. Death may seem less painful than life at times but unless we finish our chapter how will we ever truly know...
