United We Stand

The Years have come and gone while the tears have sung a song
A three letter chorus
to overcome the destruction that lays before us
"U-S-A, U-S-A"
This same chant still rings
"day-to-day, day-to-day"
Reminding me of the lives lost
Like sending my brother and friends father over seas will bring back the lives lost
But I ask, at what cost?
To end the war or to leave me as an only child?
To end the war or to leave her without a father?
A daughter without her daddy, seems like a golfer without its caddy. At least to me.
So just think what would this date be without the brave individuals overseas?
