Driver to the Stars

The city's turbulence and grief
The alleys and the cesspools
All the drugs and flesh available to buy

She has had her fill of this
Blows the town a final kiss
Slides herself behind the wheel and no seatbelts need apply

The engine's a V-8
Running 5 liters strong
A Mustang geared for those heading for the hills

She steps sharply on the gas
Aware of how speed thrills
The Mustang airborne as the world below stills.
